Attendance
We encourage a high level of attendance and punctuality at William Levick Primary School.
Regular attendance at school is vital for children's education to ensure that your child makes the progress that they should. We have an Attendance Monitoring System which we use in school and if we feel there is a problem with your child's attendance or punctuality you will be contacted. This way, any problems you may have can be sorted out before it becomes a major issue.
Absence:
Please telephone school before 9 am to report any absence. Please phone every day that your child is absent.
Guidance from NHS UK: Vomiting and diarrhoea. Children with diarrhoea and/or vomiting should be kept off school until at least 48 hours after their symptoms have gone. Most cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in children get better without treatment, but if symptoms persist, please consult your GP.
For more information as to whether or not to send your child to school please refer to the below website address from the NHS

Holidays:
Holidays cannot be authorised during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Parents requesting a leave of absence should complete a form which can be found here or can be collected from the school office.
Derbyshire County Council may issue fixed penalty notices where unauthorised absences occurs.
